Allen, I like how you incorporated Edmodo into a lesson where student search and find answers to questions. After reading the students reactions, it seems they liked the activity. I still can't get use to Edmodo and all its features so I'm glad your students were able to navagate through it.
Nice job Allen! Edmodo is a great tool and a great way to incorporate technology into your lessons. Your lesson really taught the students 21st century skills plus the content in the lesson.
Allen, i really like the idea and design of your lesson. Edmodo is a great way to incorporate ELA into technology and is something that i think many students would enjoy using. I did not know that Edmodo had a smart phone app until reading your report! Nice to know! Good job overall, i like what you've got here.
This is exemplary! I really liked how you think from a learner's perspective to introduce a social networking program to the History teacher and the students. From your implementation report and reflection, I can see how pleasant and productive you two have accomplished. Edmodo is a powerful and safe program. Your goal is clear and simple- to use Edmodo to increase student participation- and it did. This project that you worked on should be presented at a conference. With the quality and the activity conducted, you need to get this presented or published. The rubric you came up with was excellent to make sure that all students will participate and offer constructive feedback on the learning content. In the NSF project we are doing, we prepare middle school science teachers use Edmodo to faciliate inquiry learning and share learning resources. In the project, some teachers invite parents to join the Edmodo so they can see their children's learning progress (parents can only see their own child's page). In addition, a few teachers share with other teachers to make sure that they are on the same page with the students' learning progress (i.e., with resource room teachers or ELA teachers). Great job, Allen!
